Hardly six months after she filed for divorce from her husband of 5 years, Katie Holmes is on her way to Telluride, Colorado to spend the holiday weekend with her ex, Tom Cruise. Are they getting back together?! Well… sort of. Like many divorced parents this year, Katie and Tom are reuniting for Thanksgiving dinner, for the sake of their six-year-old daughter, Suri.
A source close to Katie and Tom said that the exes are committed to showing their daughter that they can still be civil to each other and maintain a semblance of family togetherness for the holidays. Katie and Tom know that spending the holiday with both of her parents will mean so much for Suri, whose 2012 has been rocked by the power couple’s split and the resulting shared custody arrangement. Family insiders say that Thanksgiving has always been a really big deal for the Cruise clan and the devoted parents don’t want that to change in the wake of their divorce.
